Whole Earth & Sea Men's 50+ Multivitamin & Mineral is a vegan, whole-food-based multivitamin and mineral formula from Natural Factors, designed to meet the nutritional needs of men over 50. It is produced under the Whole Earth & Sea line and is formulated as Pure Food tablets.
The formula draws nutrients from raw fruits, vegetables, and herbs, some grown on Natural Factors' own certified organic, non-GMO farm. The Farm Fresh Factors system incorporates five distinct whole-food blends: an Organic Farm Fresh Fruit Blend, an Organic Farm Fresh Veggie Blend, an Organic Farm Fresh Cruciferous Blend, an Organic Farm Fresh Herb Blend, and an Organic Farm Fresh Sea Vegetable Blend. Nutrients are processed using the EnviroSimplex method to retain the character of whole-food ingredients.
Key vitamins are provided in their bioactive or food-sourced forms: vitamin A as beta-carotene from Dunaliella salina algae; vitamin C from organic amla (Phyllanthus emblica, fruit); vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol from lichen; vitamin E as d-alpha-tocopherol from sunflower oil; vitamin K2 as menaquinone-7 (MK-7) from natto bean; thiamin as benfotiamine; riboflavin as riboflavin-5-phosphate; niacin as inositol hexanicotinate; vitamin B6 as pyridoxal-5-phosphate; folate as (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid (MTHF) glucosamine salt; and vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin. Pantothenic acid is provided as pantethine.
Minerals are sourced from food-based and chelated forms: calcium from organic algae (Mesophyllum superpositum), magnesium from organic algae and citrate, zinc as picolinate, selenium from sprouted garlic, copper as bisglycinate, manganese as citrate, chromium as polynicotinate, molybdenum as citrate, potassium as citrate, and boron as citrate. Lutein is sourced from marigold flower and lycopene from tomato. The formula also includes saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) berry extract, included for prostate health support.
The product is suitable for vegans, is non-GMO, and is tested by ISURA using mass spectrometry for over 800 substances, screening for environmental pollutants including pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, heavy metals, and other undesirable substances. It is manufactured by Natural Factors in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) of the FDA and Health Canada.
