Q-Gel® solubilized CoQ10 is natural Japanese coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) derived from microbial (yeast) fermentation, resulting in the production of the desirable trans isomer. The trans isomer is the form identical in structure to CoQ10 made by the human body, allowing for optimal bioactivity. Q-Gel® CoQ10 is unique in that it is both HydrosolubleTM and LiposolubleTM.

A critical factor in CoQ10 absorption is the surface area exposed to bile salts, the body's natural emulsifier. The patented Bio Solv® technology behind Hydrosoluble™ Q-Gel® produces sub micron size CoQ10, increasing its surface area and exposure to bile salts for enhanced micellization and absorption. While this form does not require proximity to lipid containing meals, it is generally believed that taking it with meals will still offer the best bioavailability. Vitamin E is added to enhance the solubility of CoQ10.
