Prenatal DHA is a DHA-dominant omega-3 fish oil soft gel from Nordic Naturals, formulated to support healthy pregnancy and fetal development. The fish oil is sourced from fresh, wild-caught anchovies, sardines, mackerel, and herring and processed in Norway. It is delivered in re-esterified triglyceride (rTG) form. RRR-alpha tocopherol is included as an antioxidant to support freshness of the oil. Each serving also provides natural vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol).
Prenatal DHA is intended for adults before, during, and after pregnancy, including during lactation. The label notes that healthy DHA levels in mothers during pregnancy and lactation support brain and visual development in babies, and that the formula may also support normal mood balance for mothers before, during, and after pregnancy.
