GLUTAXYM™ is a blend of eight plant-based proteolytic enzymes formulated by U.S. Enzymes to support the digestion of gluten-containing and casein-containing foods, as well as starches and sugars. It is presented in a vegetable-cellulose capsule and is sold exclusively to healthcare professionals.
The formula's primary active is Peptidase DPP-IV, a proteolytic enzyme that specifically supports the breakdown of gluten proteins. The Enzyme Blend (484.72 mg per serving) also includes Protease I, Protease II, Protease III, Acid Stable Protease, and Peptidase S — a spectrum of proteases — together with the plant-derived enzymes Papain and Bromelain. Four carbohydrate-digesting enzymes — Amylase, Glucoamylase, Maltase, and Invertase — round out the blend to support the breakdown of starches and sugars alongside proteins.
