EFA Essentials is a softgel dietary supplement from Pure Encapsulations that combines triglyceride-form fish oil concentrate with cold-pressed borage seed oil to deliver a broad spectrum of essential fatty acids in a single convenient capsule.
The fish oil concentrate is sourced from anchovies and sardines and provides EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), and other omega-3 fatty acids. The borage oil is cold-pressed from the seed of Borago officinalis and provides GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), an omega-6 fatty acid. Together these two oils support joint health, skin elasticity and moisture, and healthy eye function, including healthy tear production.
Each softgel is preserved with a proprietary natural antioxidant blend of rosemary leaf extract, natural tocopherols, and ascorbyl palmitate. The formula is free from gluten, GMOs, soy, and dairy.
