ACTIVE PRINCIPLES

SENNA Senna exerts a laxative action and thanks to a low quantity substances of anthraquinone it also exerts a strong purgative, but not drastic.

ALOE Thanks to anthraquinones, substances that act on the colon level, including barbaloin. Aloe stimulates peristalsis and water secretion from intestinal walls by favoring a soft stool consistency.

CHAMOMILE It reduces the spasm state connected to constipation and counteracts inflammatory processes that may occur in the presence of irritable bowel syndrome.

RHUBARB Exerts strong action against the intestinal tract expounding a modulated laxative effect.

FENNEL FRUITS Exerts its action on the liver and its detoxification systems by regularizing and improving liver function. It also acts on the nervous system by preventing and / or alleviating muscle spasms. The fruits of fennel, improperly called seeds, containing volatile oils including the most important that are anethole and fenchone to which can be attributed to a well-known stimulating effect on the motility of the stomach and intestines (carminative), which makes the fennel seeds particularly useful in the presence of bloating and flatulence.

CORIANDER FRUITS The fruits contain alcohols and terpenes by having antispasmodic activity on the smooth muscle, reducing the intensity of intestinal spasms, perhaps due to far too active peristalsis. Influencing the processes of digestion and regulating the production of gastric juices, either stimulating them when underestimated compared to the needs - thus promoting the proper absorption of foods - that limiting when in excess, and then removing the risk of gastritis or reflux.

GREEN ANISE FRUITS Possess digestive, carminative properties by stimulating the exocrine glands but also expectorant properties and antiphlogistic to the respiratory system.

BUCKTHORN BARK It contains anthraquinone active substances that facilitate intestinal transit. The active metabolite is converted into the large intestine by an intestinal bacteria. It stimulates the peristaltic contractions and inhibits local contractions with consequent acceleration of transit in the colon and reduced absorption of liquids. It exerts an effect on the mucus secretion and chloride processes with a consequent increase in liquid secretion and hydration of the fecal mass.
